31
ﻭَﻋَﻠَّﻢَ ﺍٰﺩَﻡَ ﺍﻟْﺎَﺳْﻤَﺎۤﺀَ ﻛُﻠَّﻬَﺎ ﺛُﻢَّ ﻋَﺮَﺿَﻬُﻢْ ﻋَﻠَﻰ
ﺍﻟْﻤَﻠٰۤﻯِٕﻜَﺔِ ﻓَﻘَﺎﻝَ ﺍَﻧْۢﺒِـُٔﻮْﻧِﻲْ ﺑِﺎَﺳْﻤَﺎۤﺀِ ﻫٰٓﺆُﻟَﺎۤﺀِ ﺍِﻥْ
ﻛُﻨْﺘُﻢْ ﺻٰﺪِﻗِﻴْﻦَ
wa 'allama ādamal-asmā`a kullahā ṡumma
'araḍahum 'alal-malā`ikati fa qāla ambi`ụnī
bi`asmā`i hā`ulā`i ing kuntum ṣādiqīn
And He taught Adam the names of all (things),then He showed them to the angels, saying, "Tell Me the names of all (things), if you are truthful!"
32
ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮْﺍ ﺳُﺒْﺤٰﻨَﻚَ ﻟَﺎ ﻋِﻠْﻢَ ﻟَﻨَﺎٓ ﺍِﻟَّﺎ ﻣَﺎ ﻋَﻠَّﻤْﺘَﻨَﺎ ۗﺍِﻧَّﻚَ
ﺍَﻧْﺖَ ﺍﻟْﻌَﻠِﻴْﻢُ ﺍﻟْﺤَﻜِﻴْﻢُ
qālụ sub-ḥānaka lā 'ilma lanā illā mā
'allamtanā, innaka antal-'alīmul-ḥakīm
They replied, “Glory be to You,we know nothing but what You have taught us. Indeed,You are the All -Knowing, the All -Wise. ”
33
ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﻳٰٓﺎٰﺩَﻡُ ﺍَﻧْۢﺒِﺌْﻬُﻢْ ﺑِﺎَﺳْﻤَﺎۤﻯِٕﻬِﻢْ ۚ ﻓَﻠَﻤَّﺎٓ ﺍَﻧْۢﺒَﺎَﻫُﻢْ
ﺑِﺎَﺳْﻤَﺎۤﻯِٕﻬِﻢْۙ ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﺍَﻟَﻢْ ﺍَﻗُﻞْ ﻟَّﻜُﻢْ ﺍِﻧِّﻲْٓ ﺍَﻋْﻠَﻢُ
ﻏَﻴْﺐَ ﺍﻟﺴَّﻤٰﻮٰﺕِ ﻭَﺍﻟْﺎَﺭْﺽِۙ ﻭَﺍَﻋْﻠَﻢُ ﻣَﺎ ﺗُﺒْﺪُﻭْﻥَ
ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﻛُﻨْﺘُﻢْ ﺗَﻜْﺘُﻤُﻮْﻥَ
qāla yā ādamu ambi`hum bi`asmā`ihim, fa
lammā amba`ahum bi`asmā`ihim qāla a lam
aqul lakum innī a'lamu gaibas-samāwāti wal-
arḍi wa a'lamu mā tubdụna wa mā kuntum
taktumụn
He (Allah) said, “O Adam! Tell them the names! ” After he (Adam) mentioned his names,He said,"Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of the
heavens and the earth,and I know what you reveal
and what you hide?"
34
ﻭَﺍِﺫْ ﻗُﻠْﻨَﺎ ﻟِﻠْﻤَﻠٰۤﻯِٕﻜَﺔِ ﺍﺳْﺠُﺪُﻭْﺍ ﻟِﺎٰﺩَﻡَ ﻓَﺴَﺠَﺪُﻭْٓﺍ
ﺍِﻟَّﺎٓ ﺍِﺑْﻠِﻴْﺲَۗ ﺍَﺑٰﻰ ﻭَﺍﺳْﺘَﻜْﺒَﺮَۖ ﻭَﻛَﺎﻥَ ﻣِﻦَ
ﺍﻟْﻜٰﻔِﺮِﻳْﻦَ
wa iż qulnā lil-malā`ikatisjudụ li`ādama fa
sajadū illā iblīs, abā wastakbara wa kāna
minal-kāfirīn
And (remember) when We said to the angels," Prostrate yourselves before Adam!" So they prostrated except Iblis.
It rejects and boasts,and it includes the disbelievers.
35
ﻭَﻗُﻠْﻨَﺎ ﻳٰٓﺎٰﺩَﻡُ ﺍﺳْﻜُﻦْ ﺍَﻧْﺖَ ﻭَﺯَﻭْﺟُﻚَ ﺍﻟْﺠَﻨَّﺔَ
ﻭَﻛُﻠَﺎ ﻣِﻨْﻬَﺎ ﺭَﻏَﺪًﺍ ﺣَﻴْﺚُ ﺷِﺌْﺘُﻤَﺎۖ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﺗَﻘْﺮَﺑَﺎ
ﻫٰﺬِﻩِ ﺍﻟﺸَّﺠَﺮَﺓَ ﻓَﺘَﻜُﻮْﻧَﺎ ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟﻈّٰﻠِﻤِﻴْﻦَ
wa qulnā yā ādamuskun anta wa zaujukal-
jannata wa kulā min-hā ragadan ḥaiṡu
syi`tumā wa lā taqrabā hāżihisy-syajarata fa
takụnā minaẓ-ẓālimīn
And We said, "O Adam! Stay you and your wife in Paradise,and eat with pleasure (various foods) that are there as you like.
(But) do not approach this tree,or you will be among the wrongdoers!”
36
ﻓَﺎَﺯَﻟَّﻬُﻤَﺎ ﺍﻟﺸَّﻴْﻄٰﻦُ ﻋَﻨْﻬَﺎ ﻓَﺎَﺧْﺮَﺟَﻬُﻤَﺎ ﻣِﻤَّﺎ ﻛَﺎﻧَﺎ
ﻓِﻴْﻪِ ۖ ﻭَﻗُﻠْﻨَﺎ ﺍﻫْﺒِﻄُﻮْﺍ ﺑَﻌْﻀُﻜُﻢْ ﻟِﺒَﻌْﺾٍ ﻋَﺪُﻭٌّ ۚ
ﻭَﻟَﻜُﻢْ ﻓِﻰ ﺍﻟْﺎَﺭْﺽِ ﻣُﺴْﺘَﻘَﺮٌّ ﻭَّﻣَﺘَﺎﻉٌ ﺍِﻟٰﻰ ﺣِﻴْﻦٍ
fa azallahumasy-syaiṭānu 'an-hā fa
akhrajahumā mimmā kānā fīhi wa qulnahbiṭụ
ba'ḍukum liba'ḍin 'aduww, wa lakum fil-arḍi
mustaqarruw wa matā'un ilā ḥīn
Then Satan deceived both of them from heaven so that they were both expelled from (all pleasures)
while they were there (heaven).
And We said,"Come down! Some of you become enemies of others.
And for you there is dwelling and pleasure on earth until the appointed time."
37
ﻓَﺘَﻠَﻘّٰٓﻰ ﺍٰﺩَﻡُ ﻣِﻦْ ﺭَّﺑِّﻪٖ ﻛَﻠِﻤٰﺖٍ ﻓَﺘَﺎﺏَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ۗ ﺍِﻧَّﻪٗ
ﻫُﻮَ ﺍﻟﺘَّﻮَّﺍﺏُ ﺍﻟﺮَّﺣِﻴْﻢُ
fa talaqqā ādamu mir rabbihī kalimātin fa
tāba 'alaīh, innahụ huwat-tawwābur-raḥīm
Then Adam received some words from his Lord,and He accepted his repentance.
Indeed,Allah is Most Accepting of repentance,Most Merciful.
38
ﻗُﻠْﻨَﺎ ﺍﻫْﺒِﻄُﻮْﺍ ﻣِﻨْﻬَﺎ ﺟَﻤِﻴْﻌًﺎ ۚ ﻓَﺎِﻣَّﺎ ﻳَﺄْﺗِﻴَﻨَّﻜُﻢْ
ﻣِّﻨِّﻲْ ﻫُﺪًﻯ ﻓَﻤَﻦْ ﺗَﺒِﻊَ ﻫُﺪَﺍﻱَ ﻓَﻠَﺎ ﺧَﻮْﻑٌ
ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻬِﻢْ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﻫُﻢْ ﻳَﺤْﺰَﻧُﻮْﻥَ
qulnahbiṭụ min-hā jamī'ā, fa immā
ya`tiyannakum minnī hudan fa man tabi'a
hudāya fa lā khaufun 'alaihim wa lā hum
yaḥzanụn
We said, “Come down all of you from heaven! Then if My guidance really comes to you,then whoever follows My guidance,there will be no fear of them and they will not grieve."
39
ﻭَﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﻛَﻔَﺮُﻭْﺍ ﻭَﻛَﺬَّﺑُﻮْﺍ ﺑِﺎٰﻳٰﺘِﻨَﺎٓ ﺍُﻭﻟٰۤﻯِٕﻚَ
ﺍَﺻْﺤٰﺐُ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺭِ ۚ ﻫُﻢْ ﻓِﻴْﻬَﺎ ﺧٰﻠِﺪُﻭْﻥَ
wallażīna kafarụ wa każżabụ bi`āyātinā
ulā`ika aṣ-ḥābun-nār, hum fīhā khālidụn
As for those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations,these are the dwellers of the Fire.
They remain in it.
40
ﻳٰﺒَﻨِﻲْٓ ﺍِﺳْﺮَﺍۤﺀِﻳْﻞَ ﺍﺫْﻛُﺮُﻭْﺍ ﻧِﻌْﻤَﺘِﻲَ ﺍﻟَّﺘِﻲْٓ ﺍَﻧْﻌَﻤْﺖُ
ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻜُﻢْ ﻭَﺍَﻭْﻓُﻮْﺍ ﺑِﻌَﻬْﺪِﻱْٓ ﺍُﻭْﻑِ ﺑِﻌَﻬْﺪِﻛُﻢْۚ ﻭَﺍِﻳَّﺎﻱَ
ﻓَﺎﺭْﻫَﺒُﻮْﻥِ
yā banī isrā`īlażkurụ ni'matiyallatī an'amtu
'alaikum wa aufụ bi'ahdī ụfi bi'ahdikum, wa
iyyāya far-habụn
O Children of Israel! Remember My favor which I have given you.
And fulfill your promise to Me,I will fulfill My promise to you,and fear Me alone.
